Training programme

noneets_keep1Given the complexity of the areas covered by the needs listed above and the financial and time constraints faced by the project, the partners agreed to invest in a flexible and adaptable support plan that allows the young people to perform a self-evaluation and equips them with a range of tools that would help them to join a training or vocational project, or even attempt to enter employment.

  • Six modules selected:
  1. self-assessment;
  2. setting out and developing a career project;
  3. joining some form of training or integration scheme;
  4. guidance and support to self-employment, in order to be able work independently;
  5. finding seasonal employment;
  6. improving ability in languages.

These modules are further divided into items or topics that will enable the creation of teaching files that the modules will be based on.

  • General goal

The goal of the programme is to inform, guide and equip the target group about the possibilities for projecting themselves towards a positive future, make sense of their individual path and see the use in the activities they are carrying out.

  • Operational goal

It is about stimulating young people to explore and undertake concrete steps towards social and occupational integration.

The programme aims to sow the seeds of the necessary social and vocational competences that are essential to entering the labour market, such as re-entering a training or integration scheme, planning a career path, improve language abilities…

It is worth reminding that, given the complexity of the issue and the variety of individual profiles, that it is worth keeping expectations in the young people realistic, whilst also encouraging them to invest themselves in a thought-out and motivated undertaking.

  • Target group

The unemployed; early leavers from education and training; the inactive; jobseekers aged 16 to 29.

  • Methodology

In terms of approaches to teaching and support, we believe there is no universal method or magic formula; that everything is a matter of approach, context, and the experiences of the different actors involved in the joint construction of knowledge and the desire for independence.

This is why, in this programme, we have decided to rely on the so-called «active» method of training.

Active methods seek to create situations that can be substantiated and applied to our group of young «NEETs».
