For some young people leaving education does not coincide with the entry into professional life. Without employment or training, they can count on the CRIJ Midi-Pyrénées, which offers them ways to fit.

In the jargon, they are called “neither-nor”, translation from English “neet” (“neither in education nor in employement or training”). In other words, those under 30 who have left school but have not found a job or training program. Some are actively looking, others have given up, living in a difficult environment, family responsibilities or have a disability. But all are at the heart of the “NoNEETs”, developed by the European Commission.

Experimental project launched at the end of last year is based on various organizations in six EU countries, including the regional Youth Information Centre (CRIJ) Midi-Pyrenees. Objective: “to provide effective and useful tools” to those concerned to “improve their motivation, their social skills, their knowledge and skills,” says CRIJ.
